Abduction of Nigerian students by Boko Haram protested

Registering strong condemnation against the abduction of 223 students of Chibok Secondary School allegedly by Boko Haram terrorist group in Nigeria on April 14 last, World Fund for Youth (WFY), Imphal staged a sit-in-protest today in front of its office located at Porompat under the campaign 'Bring Back Girls' .
Speaking to media persons on the sidelines of the protest, K Karnajit, president of WFY said that 53 students amongst the total abducted 223 have been already released by the group from their custody but the Nigerian government has not been able to trace the whereabouts of the remaining students.
He demanded safe release of the remaining students without any human rights violation at the earliest and informed that school students in different parts of the world will be staging a sit-in-protest on May 22 to demand unconditional release of the abducted students.
