The proscribed Kangleipak Communist Party (KCP) celebrated its 42nd foundation day at the 131 battalion of KCP/MFL, yesterday.
The programme graced by KYKL/MYL, deputy finance secretary L Ingba; KCP/MFL chief of army staff, H Ibomcha; KCP/MFL G-2, N Mani, KYKL/MYL CO (first battalion), S Dhana and KCP/MFL G-3, M Robin began by lighting a ceremonial lamp and unfurling the party's flag, said a statement issued by S Mangal, secretary in charge, information and publicity of KCP.
During the observance, the gathering offered floral tributes to those who sacrificed their lives in the course of the struggle for Kangleipak and WESEA region.
They also observed silence for two minutes.
Later, adjutant of 131 bn T Saiyon gave a welcome speech while ROT Yaipharemba read out a paper of the 42nd foundation day of the outfit.
Speaking at the event, L Ingba said that the people will face greater difficulties if the freedom struggle of different outfits in Kangleipak is stretched for a longer period.
Saying that the activities of revolutionary groups must be carried out within a certain time frame as humans are not immortal, he urged the gathering to increase the pace of revolutionary movement and not be disheartened under any circumstances.
N Mani said that whatever they have been doing is to give a better future to the people.
He also urged the young cadres to learn whatever they can from their seniors so as to carry forward the movement constructively.
S Dhana, on the other hand, maintained that the revolutionary movement will never bear fruits without the support of the people while M Robin said that revolutionary groups should never take sides for some benefits but always stand for the truth.
H Ibomcha stated that the State depends on others for food due to lack of good policies.
KCP also observed its 42nd foundation day at its Central Headquarters, General Headquarters, training centre and other units too.
