Langthabal AC MLA Karam Shyam extends monetary assistance to orphaned children

MLA of Langthabal Assembly Constituency, Karam Shyam provided monetary assistance to orphaned children of the Constituency to help them in their education.
He distributed the monetary aid to the orphaned children during a public meeting held at Lilong Chajing Mairenkhong community hall organised by the Langthabal Kendra Widows Welfare Association (LKWWA) .
Addressing the gathering, K Shyam said that nurturing a child to become an eligible citizen is a must for a developed society.
Stating that he had provided monetary assistance to the orphaned children earlier as well, he said that the purpose of extending such assistance is to motivate them so that they become qualified individuals in future.

Under this initiative, monetary assistance will be given to twelve children, he added.
He further maintained that whatever he is doing for the orphaned children is human service and is not for political mileage.
Expressing joy over the success of those children whom he has helped over the past eight years who have become doctors, army officers, he said that their success stories has encouraged him to continue with his initiative.
Appealing to all concerned to use such assistance solely for the educational purpose of the children, he further urged the guardians and parents to instill the habit of punctuality in them.
He also informed that the distribution of monetary aids is mainly done through LKWWA by accumulating the money which he gives to the association from his salary every second Saturday of the month which is further given as loans in minimal interest.
The MLA also advised the children to be disciplined and to carry out their duties earnestly.
