Imphal, April 15 2022:
Kshetrigao Local CPI Top Branch staged a sit-in protest and carried out a mass campaign against rising prices of essential items including transport fuel on Friday.
A meeting was also conducted at the residence of CPI Top Branch ex-pradhan Shanti, which was attended by CPI-MSC state secretary L Sotinkumar, State Secretariat member A Lala, and Branch secretary M Achou as presidium members, along with Branch secretary H Nanda and others.
In his address, L Sotin kumar stated that constant hiking of prices of essential goods has severely impacted the farmers, workers, labourers and the public.
This is caused by BJP's unending catering to the interest of corporate houses.
Thus, there is need to put a stop to this, he said, while adding that the only solution at the moment is for the people to raise their voices and launch a movement against the anti-people policies of the ruling government.
State Secretariat member A Lala urged for cooperation and continuation of the movement against the rising prises of items and fuel, while adding that the party will extend all necessary support to the formation of a united front in this regard.
