Intending candidate extends help to ailing artiste

Imphal, October 07 2021: In continuation of BJP's Seva Aur Samarpan Abhiyan which is being organised in connection with celebration of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's birthday, intending candidate from Keishamthong assembly constituency Laisom Bony (Santosh) visited renowned Shumang Leela artiste Ningthoujam Rajen, popularly known as Keirao Rajen, who is suffering from an ailment, and extended financial assistance on Thursday.

Accompanied by his wife, Bony presented a photograph of Keirao Rajen taken during the peak of his career upon which the actor, who has lost his ability to speak, got emotional.

Bony and his wife sought blessing from Rajen for success in the forthcoming election.

Bony also extended financial assistance to the ailing Shumang Leela artiste.

Speaking to media, Bony emphasised on the role of Shumang Leela in social reformation, and informed that he feels it is important to meet the renowned actor Keirao Rajen and extend some help to the ailing artiste.

He prayed for his speedy recovery and re-entry in Shumang Leela.
