Shiv Sena team head for Mumbai

Imphal, October 07 2021:
A team of 8 intending candidates of the Shive Sena led by its State unit president M Tombi, left for Mumbai today.
The goal of the trip is to discuss fielding worthy candidates to contest in the upcoming Assembly election with the party's high command.
Prior to leaving for Mumbai, M Tombi told mediapersons that the party will contest 15 seats in the upcoming election, for which 12 intending candidates have been selected so far.
The team headed for Mumbai will discuss the best way to go about contesting in the election and how to select the most worthy candidates.
He added that Shiv Sena will never join hands with BJP or Congress, however, some exceptions might be made based on the best interests of the State.
The party that comes to power after the Assembly election will have the unconditional support of Shiv Sena, he continued.
M Tombi urged all political parties to refrain from making a mockery of the democratic process of elections by turning it into a festival and requested everyone to abide by the guidelines laid down by ECI.
