Contending that the claims of the BJP led coalition government in the state with regard to development of villages and roads are all lies, Sugnu MLA K Ranjit has categorically stated that there is nothing that people could hope from the present BJP led government.
He was speaking while inspecting the repair works of a Bailey bridge over Ma-nipur River at Chairel on Wednesday.
MLA Ranjit further said that the Bailey bridge-was constructed when he was the works minister in 2011 .
As the condition of the bridge is deteriorating, several proposals were submitted to works department of the present government and even pressured by taking up the issue in the assembly session.
Unfortunately, the BJP led government ignored the importance of repairing the bridge, he contended.
Ranjit said that he has repaired the bridge from his own pocket aiong with the co-operation of the people even though the government overlooked the repair work of the bridge.
Development Committee Chairel secretary Thounaojam Nando and people of Sugnu and Kumbi constituency residing near the bridge were also present during the inspection.
