Art expo begins at RKCS Art Museum

An art exhibition displaying paintings of Rajkumar Budhimanta commenced at RKCS Art Museum, Keisham thong here on Friday.
Speaking as chief guest of the inauguration function, education minister Th Bas-antakumar Singh acknowledged that the RKCS museum attracts tourists from outside the state.
The museum is filled with art works related to the history and culture of Manipur.
The artworks of Rajkumar Budhimanta which he had painted during the COVID pandemic are being displayed in the exhibition, he said.
The minister also informed that the he would look into options for extending financial assistance to the museum despite it being a privately run one.
The inaugural function was also attended by Manipur University of Culture vice chancellor Paonam Gunindro Singh and RKCS Museum of Arts and Crafts chairperson Dr K Sobita Devi.
The art exhibition will continue till February 1 and will remain open from 10 am to 5 pm daily for public viewing.
