Protecting Manipur's integrity most important now: Th Satyabrata

Imphal, July 19 2026: Manipur Legislative Assembly Speaker Thokchom Satyabrata has said the campaign alleging that the BJP intended to divide the State by granting 'Separate Administration' to the hills has now been exposed as baseless, and the public has come to understand the truth.

He was speaking at the "One Day Youth Political Convention" organised by BJYM Yaiskul Kendra at YCB Club, Bamon Leikai on Sunday.

Addressing the gathering, Th Satyabrata said some people exploited the present crisis in the State to malign the BJP and weaken the party.

He termed the claim of granting 'Separate Administration' as completely false and said the public now clearly understands-the party's stand on protecting Manipur's unity.

Emphasizing that safeguarding the integrity of the State is the top priority at this juncture, the Speaker urged the youth to stay alert against misinformation.

Satyabrata further stressed the need to link skill training with employment opportunities and marketing support for young people.

The convention was attended by BJP Yaiskul Mandal president L Seityabhama, former president K Bishwamittra, advocate N Homeshwar, and BJYM Yaiskul Kendra president W Fenyson among others.
