Skilling centre opened, medical camp held

Mantripukhri Battalion of Assam Rifles of IGAR (South) inaugurated skill development centre at Ramrei village in Kamjong district under Op Sadbhavna Project on Saturday.
According to PRO IGAR (S), to promote Digital India initiative and to make e- learning easily accessible for children and locals of remote villages, two computers along with UPS, one printer and accessories were installed in the skill development centre as part of the project.
Locals expressed their gratitude and applauded the efforts of Assam Rifles for upliftment of the society, it added.
Meanwhile, Chassad Battalion of IGAR (S) conducted a medical camp under Assam Rifles Civic Action Programme at Chassad village in Kamjong district on Saturday.
The medical camp was organised to assist the villagers who have no access to basic healthcare services at far flung villages near Indo Myanmar Border, said a the PRO in another release, adding that medical team from Assam Rifles carried out the health checkup of more than 150 villagers including elderly persons and ladies.
The camp culminated with distribution or essential medicines to villagers, it added.
