AMPWA celebrates foundation day

Executives and members of All Manipur Muslims (Meitei Pangal) Welfare Association (AMPWA) conducted a mass tree plantation programme at the campus of Lilong Haoreibi College on Saturday on the occasion of its 28th foundation day.
In a release, AMPWA publicity secretary Dr M R Sheikh stated that the programme held at Lilong Haoreibi College multi-purpose hall was attended by Manipur Legislative Assembly former speaker Dr Md Maniruddin Sheikh as chief guest, retired IAS and AMPWA president A R Khan as president while Manipur Public Service Commission former member and retired IAS MA Sattar and AMPWA vice president Md Akhtar Hussain were present as guests of honour.
As a part of the celebration food items was also distribute at children homes, it added.
