ITI for Tribe of India sponsors education of 5 IDP students
Further studies to be pursued at Dehradun

Imphal, June 22 2026:
Governor Ajay Kumar Bhalla, today, interacted with five IDP students and their guardians at Lok Bhavan, Imphal.
These students have been sponsored for free education upto Class 10 (ten) by Information Technology Institute for the Tribes of India-Doon Sanskriti School, Dehradun, Uttarakhand, said a press note from Lok Bhavan.
The students, hailing from Moreh and Churachandpur and presently residing in different relief camps in Imphal have been selected for their further studies free of cost including fooding, lodging, uniform and other essential facilities, it said and added that their travel expenses from Imphal to Dehradun will be borne by the Assam Rifles.

Under the aegis of IGAR (South) the students were selected from among those residing in various relief camps in Imphal, it added.
While interacting with the students and their guardians, the Governor encou- raged them to make the best use of the opportunity by learning wholeheartedly and developing their talents to the fullest.
He wished the students success in their future endeavours.
The Governor also appreciated the efforts of the Assam Rifles in supporting and nurturing the IDP students.
IGAR (South) Major General Gaurav Sharma, and Commander of 9 Sector AR, Brigadier Pratyush Kumar also attended the interaction programme.
