Students hold rally against transfer of teacher

Thoubal, May 19 2022: Students of New Ideal High School, Thoubal Ningombam, which has been enlisted among the schools for development of requisite infrastructure under the 'School Phagat-hansi' mission of the government, took out a protest rally around the school on Thursday in denunciation of transfer of a teacher amid the said school facing shortage of teachers.

One of the protesting students said that the school has only 14 teachers out of the required strength of 30 teachers and on Wednesday the lone English subject teacher W Manoj was transferred.

Such action is in total contrast to principal objective of 'School Phagat-hansi' mission.

Government should immediately depute the required teachers of the school along with cancelling the transfer order of the English subject teacher, the student demanded.

The rally which was taken out after blocking the stretch of Thoubal-Leisangthem road for some time was marked by the students raising slogans against transfer of the teacher in question and demanding deputation of required teachers.
