AR units organise lectures, pre-recruitment training

Churachandpur Battalion of IGAR (S) organised a motivational lecture for youth on career opportunity in Indian Armed Forces at Samulamlan village in Churachandpur district on Friday.
According to PRO IGAR (S), the lecture was aimed at creating awareness amongst the youth and locals on Agnipath scheme recently launched by Government of India.
A total of 55 locals along with police and civil officials attended the programme.
Meanwhile, Modi Battalion of IGAR (South) organised an awareness lecture on drug abuse as part of Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyaan (NMBA) for the youth and local populace of Larong Khunou village in Chandel district on Friday.
The lecture was conducted to spread aware -ness against drug abuse and prevention of drugs and a total of 30 villagers participated in the event, said the PRO in another release.
The PRO further informed that Phundrei Battalion of IGAR (South) organised a three-day pre-recruitment training at Shalluk village in Chandel district from July 6 with an aim to motivate local youth join Armed Forces as a career.
The training was carried out in three phases where youth were briefed about enrollment process, documentation and physical standards required for Armed Forces.
Altogether 33 youths (boys and girls) participated in the training.
