Arunachal seal second win, Assam pip Tripura

Arunachal Pradesh Tigers secured their second straight win as Assam Rhinos bounced back after their first match loss on the second day of the 1st North East Women's Football Tournament 2022 underway at SAI Turf Ground, Takyel.
Yumlam Lali struck twice in Arunachal Pradesh Tigers's 3-1 triumph over Meghalaya Leopards.
After 45 minutes of back-and-forth exchanges, Yumlam Lali broke the opposition's resistance to put Arunachal in front and she found her second goal in the 61st minute before Kairumi tripled the lead in the 74th minute.
Meghalaya could only manage a goal at the fag end of the match.
Assam Rhinos bounced back from their 6-1 defeat at the hands of Meghalaya to beat Tripura Pythons 3-2 in their second match on Friday.
Sampali Jamatia put Tripura ahead in the 12th minute but Sonia Marak drew level for Assam in the 14th minute and teammate Pokhila Boro gave their side the upper hand when she converted in the 21st minute.
However, Tripura fought back to get a 2-2 tie courtesy of Panchan Debata who scored in the 38th minute.
Then an intense battle between the squads until Pokhila Boro struck in the winner, her second goal of the match, in the final seconds of stoppage time.
