Petty dispute anti-thesis to development: Loken

Unnecessary and frequent disputes are detrimental to the development of a state.
Thus, everyone needs to make collective efforts to ensure all round development of Wangoi constituency, MLA Khuraijam Loken has stated.
He was speaking at the 54th Foundation Day celebration cum felicitation of meritorious students of Thambal Leima High School, Iram Siphai on Saturday.
The MLA continued that Thambal Leima School is an aided -school in Wangoi AC with highest number of students enrolled and a 100 percent pass percentage in the HSLC examination.
In addition, its students have won medals at various national level sports competitions, thereby bringing glory and recognition to the constituency and the state.
Lauding the school's management committee and the parents/guardians of the students, Loken assured of addressing the classroom shortages of the school, along With other necessary assistance to make it into a model school of the constituency.
He then called upon the parties involved in a land dispute concerning the school to amicably resolve the issue in the interest of the students, adding that the development of the school could be neglected by government departments if the school is involved in land disputes or court cases.
The function was also attended by School principal Shanti, ZEO Imphal West K Bimolchand, social worker L Kunjakishore, members of school management committee, students and teachers of the school.
