CPI (M) holds 6th Patsoi Local conference

Imphal, October 07 2021:
Communist Party of India (M) conducted its 6th Patsoi Local Conference at Changangei Uchekon in Imphal West district on Thursday.
The conference commenced with hoisting of the party flag by veteran leader Sinam Lukhoi.
Speaking at the event, CPI Manipur State Committee secretary Kshetrimayum Shanta contended that ever since the BJP-led NDA government came to power, the country has been in turmoil with lawlessness, anti-farm bills, atrocities upon the common people, etc., leading to rise in public movement across the country.
As such, we need to strengthen the prowess of CPI in Patsoi AC so as to protect all concerned from the aforementioned issues, he asserted.
In his speech, CPI State Secretariat member Sarat Salam condemned the atrocities committed against farmers in Lakhimpur Sheri in UP, and stressed the need for supporting the demands of the farmers.
During the eonference, an 11-member local committee was formed, with Taorem Manihar elected as secretary of CPI (M) Patsoi Local Committee.
Additionally, 3 delegates and observer were also selected to attend the 19th CPI (M) Manipur State conference.
