Burn victim recovers at RIMS

Imphal, July 07 2021:
A 52-year-old man, who had suffered serious burn injuries and had not one to care for, has recovered for the better due to the care and support of RIMS doctors and staff.
The man has been identified as Aboi of Jiribam, who was working as a goods transporter.
He had been staying at a rented room in Sanakeithel prior to the incident leading to his injuries on May7.According to a report, Aboi was admitted to RIMS hospital by some people on May 7.He was taken care of by a team led by Dr Kshetrimayum Raju under the supervision of RIMS director and MS.As he did not have a family, all his medical expenses have been borne by the doctors and staff of the hospital till date.
Although he suffered 35 percent of burn on his body, he has recovered remarkably and will soon be discharged from the hospital.
At the time of admittance, his family could not be traced.
As such, he will be handed over to the police station concerned after discharge.
Mention may be made here that on May 7, both Aboy and a fellow tenant identified as Memo (56) of Sekmaijin suffered burn in a fire.
Although Aboy recovered from the burn, he suffered severe psychological trauma and had been undergoing treatment at the hospital since then.
