MLA Nemcha keeping tab on vaccination progress

As part of her active campaign to ensure no one in Kangpokpi AC is left out in the vaccination drive, MLA Nemcha Kipgen personally visited and monitored mass vaccination held in Parsain area on Wednesday.
The vaccination drive was organised by COVID Task Force Parsain Area in collaboration with medical staff of PHC Kalapahar under the initiative of the local MLA.
Following the extensive awareness campaign personally led by Nemcha, the vaccination drive saw an increase in turnout.
Even in some remote vaccination sites, some people had to be sent back for the next session since data could not be uploaded smoothly owing to the poor internet connectivity.
During Wednesday's vaccination drive at Parsain as well data operators had a hard time uploading details of the beneficiaries owing to slow internet connection.
MLA Nemcha accompanied by Abhay Kumar Giri, organisational general secretary BJP Manipur, had a brief meeting with the people of Parsain area and disseminated authentic information on COVID vaccine and the need for vaccination.
The MLA said that vaccination is the most effective means in the battle against COVID-19, therefore getting vaccinated should be the biggest priority in her constituency right now to save lives.
Nemcha, who also took her second dose on Wednesday, stressed the need to scale up the vaccination drive to slow down the rising infection and fatality rate from COVID-19 .
"Don't believe in rumours circulated on social media as it will only lead you to an irreparable loss in the future", asserted Nemcha Kipgen, while adding that there should be no room for politics during these testing times.
"I want the people of my constituency to know that they are not alone, and we will fight this together", exhorted the MLA.
To ensure that no one goes hungry at these unprecedented times, the local MLA also provided essential items including rice, dal, etc., to those who do not possess ration cards in Parsain area, which comprises seven largely populated villages mainly dominated by Nepali community.
Abhay Kumar also joined the MLA in distributing rice and dal to the beneficiaries.
MLA Nemcha also provided sports materials including football, volleyball and net to Dharmodaya Veda Vigyan Gurukul situated at Santolabari.
The MLA was also seen helping financially an aged diabetic patient at Parsain to get her medicine and treatment.
Abhay Kumar also spoke during the brief meeting at Parsain, exhorting the people to get vaccinated at the earliest.
He said that the only way to throw away the new trend of wearing masks is to get vaccinated, adding that as PM Narendra Modi wants all Indians to get vaccinated he (PM) is providing one of the costliest vaccines free of cost as a gift to the people of India.
MLA Nemcha Kipgen also despatched a huge quantity of food grains for non-ration cardholders to Irang Part-I and Irang Part-II, Makui, Naga Tapon, Haijang, J Songtun, etc., through their respective COVID Task Force teams.
