MTDC confident of completing projects before Assembly polls

Manipur Tribal Development Corporation Chairman and Singnat AC MLA Ginsuanhau Zou has expressed confidence of completing many notable projects undertaken by the corporation well before the upcoming State Assembly elections next year.
As such the projects can be listed among the achievements of the State Government under the leadership of Chief Minister N Biren, said Ginsuanhau on his inspection visit to Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya in Kangpokpi yesterday.
The MLA was accompanied by Chief Engineer, L Brojen; SE S Zamzalam and General Manager Houreilung Gonmei and other officials.
The team inspected the construction of the main building, boys dormitory, boundary wall, gate and chowkidar quarter of the school during the visit and instructed the contractors to augment manpower and do the needful to facilitate inauguration of the school before the Assembly elections.
Speaking to media persons, the MLA maintained that efforts are on to inaugurate the school whose foundation stone was laid on October 6 last year with the co-operation of the MTDC engineers, local populace and contractors, he said.
He also maintained that MTDC will provide all requisite assistance to help complete the construction of the school.
The school will not only benefit the local people but also can be counted as an achievement of the Biren Singh led Government.
He also heaped praise on local MLA Nemcha Kipgen for her far sighted vision by facilitating installation of such an educational institute which will be useful to many generations.
The MLA also maintained that many will emerge soon to seek people's mandate and urged people to be very careful in choosing the right person who is capable and led by examples.
MTDC's Chief Engineer, L Brojen while speaking to media persons said that 11 acre of land has been acquired for the construction of the school and it will be enough for accommodation of all requisite infrastructure of the school.
For the first phase (Phase-A), a total of Rs 29.31 Cr has been sanctioned and exuded confidence that Centre will sanction Phase-B funds soon.
