Decks cleared for Class XI & XII exams: CoHSEM chairman

All preparations for the upcoming Class XI and XII examinations conduct ed by the Council of Higher Secondary Education, Manipur (CoHSEM) have been completed, Council chair man Takhellambam Ojit has informed.
Addressing the media at CoHSEM's Babupara office on Monday, Ojit stated that the ensuing examinations, which would be the first full proper examinations conducted by CoHSEM after the COVID-19 pandemic, would see a total of 36,717 students appearing for the Class XII examination scheduled to be held from February 23 to April 1 in 120 centres.
The Class XI examination from February 24 to April 5 will see a total of 32,899 students appearing in 219 centres.
Extending best wishes to the students, the chairman encouraged the students to appear the examination without any fear, panic or restlessness.
He also sought support from the parents/guardians, stakeholders and other sections of the society for smooth and peaceful conduct of the examinations, while appealing to all concerned not to impose any bandh or blockade during the examination period.
Controller of Examinations A Surkumar, who also attended the media briefing, said that strict action would be taken up against any student found using unfair means during the examinations.
Any disturbance to the smooth and fair conduct of the examination will be considered as criminal intent, he cautioned, while adding all necessary measures have been taken up to prevent any issues including question leaks.
