Lamsang AC candidates share their visions

Five candidates in the fray for Lamsang assembly seat in the ensuing assembly election expressed own views and visions to The People's Chronicle as this daily continues to reach out to candidates to raise posers on their purpose for entering electoral politics.
NPP candidate Pukhrambam Sumati Devi said that she is contesting the election so as to bring development in Lamsang constituency, which is filled with inadequacies, provide employment to unemployed youth and to construct proper roads among others.
She confided to frame special policies for farmers and peasants of the constituency to become self-reliant once she gets elected.
Moreover, steps will be taken up to enhance economy of women and give jobs to the youth.
Sharing her vision for the state, she vowed to work for repealing AFSPA from the state and to make Manipur a drug-free state.
Meanwhile, independent candidate Arambam Karamjit Singh said that he will focus on enhancing the economy of the people and assured of providing funds to sustain livelihood.
He also promised to frame special policies to enhance economy.
BJP candidate and sitting MLA Sorokhaibam Rajen Singh said that he will take all the roles and responsibilities to make Manipur a peaceful, united and developed state in general and to make Lamsang an inspiration for other constituencies.
Rajen also said that he will focus on providing source of income to the households in the constituency.
INC candidate Likmabam Manibabu Singh said his decision to contest the election is to develop education, agriculture and health sectors.
The candidate reasoned that roads can be constructed after some time but education can't be delayed as no work will be possible without education.
He said that he will try to finish the pending issues of the state including boundary issue, inclusion of indigenes in ST list and ADC issues.
Similarly, JD (U) candidate Khundrakpam Kanba Meitei said that he will try to improve quality of living for the households in the constituency and will increase the economy of the people.
While assuring to work for withdrawal of AFSPA from the state and finishing all pending issues by joining hands with likeminded representatives if he wins the election, Kanba said that he will work for overall development and move towards egalitarian society.
