Furniture like tables and chairs and tube lights were damaged in the incident, they said.
The staff further said that Ramrei Shinglai could have suffered serious injuries if the debris fell on him.
Alleging that the unfortunate incident happened due to the negligence of the authority concerned, the staff said that at Secretariat complex, there are many other old office rooms, which may collapse anytime.
Saying that they are working inside these rooms in fear and apprehension, the staff urged the authority concerned to renovate the old rooms before the Secretariat staff or any bureaucrat officer suffer major injuries.
