Imphal, October 03 2015 :
Joint Students' Coordinating Committee (JSCC), an apex body of AMSU, KSA, MSF and SUK, has appealed to all Catholic and CBSE schools and private educational institutions in Manipur to refund overcharged school fees.
A statement of JSCC said many educational institutions are learned to have violated the agreement made between JSCC and All Manipur Recognised Private Schools' Welfare Association and All Manipur School Van Transports' Association.
It said that all the school authorities were informed to charge only 30% of school fees for the month of July and August and 50% for the school vans.
All school vans have agreed to charge only 50% for the two months, but many schools have defied the agreement charging over 30% of school fees from their students.
The JSCC demanded all the school authorities to refund the overcharged school fees on or before October 7 and warned to block their administration blocks from October 8 onwards if the school authorities fail to fulfill the demand.
The JSCC further demanded resignation of Principals of these institutions and warned the school authorities and Principals that they should be held responsible for any unwanted incident.
