Killed in mishaps

Imphal, November 13 2014:
A dumper truck driver of a private construction company engaged in Jiribam-Tupul railway construction was killed when another dumper truck rammed him in the wee hours today at Awangkhul in Tamenglong district.
Meanwhile, a motorcyclist died when hit by a Tata dumper at Yairipok Siphai Leikai along Yairipok-Thoubal road under Yairipok PS today around 10.10 am.
In the first instance, the driver, identified as Dikai of Assam and engaged with Triveni Construction Pvt Ltd, was rammed by another truck after he slipped and fell on the ground when he tried to climb to his truck around 2 am today, according to a source.
The driver was rushed to RIMS hospital for treatment.
However, he succumbed to his injuries around 9 am.
The body has been deposited at RIMS morgue.
Detailed particulars of the driver could not be ascertained immediately.
Meanwhile, a motorcyclist identified as Khumanthem Rajenkumar Singh (35) s/o Kh Iboton of Heirok Part-II died when hit by a Tata dumper (MN-0B-0801) at Yairipok Siphai Leikai along Imphal-Thoubal road under Yairipok PS today around 10.10 am.
He was riding a Pulsar motorcycle (MN-01N-9815) .
