Khudengthabi first village in Tpl to be fully vaccinated

Khudengthabi has become the first village in Tengnoupal district to vaccinate all its adult population against COVID-19 .
This announcement was made by Tengnoupal DC N Pravin during a Covid vaccination cum awareness programme at Khudengthabi.
On the occasion, the DC apprised that 37.07 percent out of 38,441 adult population of the district has been inoculated till Wednesday.
Due to the dedication of the district administration, medical and education team and CSOs, Tengnoupal ranks second among the hill districts of Manipur in Covid vaccination.
Saying that Covid vaccination and test drives will be intensified in towns/localities including Moreh where the rate of positivity is on an upward trajectory, the DC asserted that ramping up these drives is the key to prevent the 3rd wave of the pandemic.
He also appealed to the people to not believe in the Covid vaccine rumours.
Tengnoupal CMO, Dr Lamkhoneng Haokip; DIO Dr Kh Gojen; ADC Moreh K Jadumani; MO incharge of Primary Health Centre Moreh Dr Kh Shantikumar and chief of Khudengthabi village took part in the programme.
Vaccination break: Deputy Commissioner of Imphal West, Th Kirankumar has informed all concerned that Covid vaccination programme in the district will not be held from July 9 to 12 in most vaccination sites.
The programme will be stalled for the three days except at two sites - Ima Market No 3 and CAF&PD Office, Sangaiprou on July 9 in view of the teams requiring two days break from the continuous programme as well as upcoming holidays, said the DC in a notification.
The programme will resume with effect from July 13, the DC continued.
