Imphal, July 08 2021:
The State Government has rolled out the guidelines for Covid positive persons who are on home isolation with the Chief Minister launching the Manipur Home Isolation Management (MHIM) online application.
It may be mentioned that Chief Minister N Biren Singh launched MHIM for real-time monitoring of COVID-19 patients in home isolation on May 27 last.
For monitoring the patient on this app, the patient must be added in the monitoring list either by themselves or by the official concerned, said an office memorandum signed by Health Director Dr K Rajo Singh.
Home Isolation (HI) patients
For HI patients, MHIM can be downloaded from the Google Play Store, said Dr Rajo and continued that a verification request will be sent to the admin once the HI patient completes the registration process.
The admin will then verify the status of the patient and either accept or reject the request.
Saying that the enrolled HI patient can upload his/her daily status of oxygen saturation, pulse rate, and symptoms including fever, breathing difficulty, shortness of breath etc via the app, he added that a feature for raising alarm/SOS in case of emergency is also available.
In case of difficulties in registration or other issues in using the app, the HI patient can contact the helpline number provided in the www.mhim.in and the app, he advised.
Field health worker or official
The field health worker (CHO, staff nurse, ANM of HWC.PHC/PHSC) and officials responsible for monitoring HI patients can download the app from ww.mhim.in/worker.
According to the notification, the health worker/official can add a new patient from the active list provided, update the daily status of the patient and record the issue of HI kits and other equipment to the patient.
Here are what the notification reads further.
CHC/PHC/UHC

As per the present instruction, every HI patient is to be linked to a doctor through the Health Worker, i.e every health worker will be mapped to a doctor at the CHC/PHC/UHC level.
The doctor is instructed to monitor the status of the HI patient linked to him/her on the app at least twice a day.
District level
The district level admin user can create accounts for all the CHC/PHC/UHC within the district and the daily status of the patient should be uploaded after a tele-monitoring call.
The district admin is also advised to upload the daily list of HI patients for the district on the app and also assist the health centre, doctor and health worker/official for each HI patient on the app, if not already assigned.
The district dashboard will provide a daily summary of HI cases, pending tele monitoring calls, delivery status of HI kits, priority cases for monitoring intensification etc.
State level
The State level admin user can create accounts for all the districts in the State, while the State Dashboard will provide a daily summary of HI cases, pending tele monitoring calls, delivery status of HI kits, priority cases for monitoring intensification etc for the State .
