National SC-ST Hub conclave held

To promote entrepreneurship and make development reach all sections of society, specially the marginalized groups, including SC/ST entrepreneurs, a National SC-ST Hub conclave was held today at EBC Gospel Centenary Hall, New Lamka, Churachandpur.
The conclave was organized by the Ministry of Micro, Small & Medium Enterprises (MSME), Government of India along the lines of the Public Procurement Policy, 2012 .
Speaking as the chief guest at the conclave, Bhanu Pratap Singh Verma, Union Minister of State for MSME, highlighted the NSSH schemes and other schemes of the Ministry.
He stated that the National SC/ST Hub (NSSH) would provide professional support to the SC/ST enterprises and work towards development of new entrepreneurs and facilitate their participation in the public procurement process, leveraging on the 'Stand up India' programme.
The Union MoS also assured that support and mentoring services will be provided to selected entrepreneurs by industry experts, CPSEs, and incubators.
Highlighting the achievements of the State Government through the same programme, Nemcha Kipgen, Minister of Textiles, Commerce and Industry and Co-operation, exuded confidence that the conclave would help in improving the lives of many people belonging to SC/ST communities and will play an integral role in the development of the State and the country's economy.
Awards were given to the top three entrepreneurs and stores were set up to showcase numerous products of different entrepreneurs of the State.
It may be mentioned that the National SC/ST Hub is an initiative of the Government of India targeted towards developing a supportive ecosystem for SC/ST entrepreneurs.
Sharath Chandra Arroju, Deputy Commissioner, Shivanand Surve, SP, and officials from different Government departments attended the conclave, apart from entrepreneurs and other beneficiaries.
