Communal harmony week campaign held

Churachandpur Battalion Assam Rifles of IGAR (South) organised awareness campaigns at Santing L and Govajang villages in Churachandpur district as part of Communal Harmony Week on Wednesday.
In a release, PRO IGAR (S) informed that the campaign focused on spreading awareness on promoting communal harmony, maintaining peace and tranquillity amongst different communities.
Due emphasis was given on understanding diversities in the country and the motto of "Unity in Diversity" was pressed upon during the campaign.
The villagers were briefed about different communities and tribes in the state, their culture and festivals to achieve an aim of communal harmony and unity.
The locals appreciated Assam Rifles for conducting such informative events for increasing awareness amongst populace, added the PRO.
