Minister Rajen highlights success of 'SF' Mission

Calling children assets of families in particular and the society in general, Education minister S Rajen Singh noted that it is natural for parents and guardians to feel secure and highly exalted over achievement of their children in any field.
Speaking as the chief guest during inauguration of various infrastructures of Yumnam Huidrom Higher Secondary developed under the School Fagathansi Mission on Monday, he informed the gathering that under the initiative df the Mission there has been continuous improvement in infrastructure development in addition to significant drop in the number of school dropout.
The minister also informed that the government is well prepared for the smooth and successful implementation of National Education Policy (NEP) in the state.
While recounting that the NEP was launched in 2020 by Prime Minister Narendra Modi with stated objective to improve the education system of the country, he stressed the need for everyone to cooperate and contribute their mite to ensure success of the policy.
Under the present government that there has been development in various spheres, he said but conceded that as Manipur is an economically underdeveloped state, maximum of the families cannot afford education of their children in private schools.
However, problems associated with school education has been eased to some extent due to improvement in government schools where the children could avail education compatible to those provided in private schools, he stated.
Minister Rajen also advised teachers to focus on diligent teaching and proper training of the students while asking staffers of government schools and colleges to abandon the concept of complaining whenever the government initiates transfer and posting.
In his address as the functional president, Agriculture minister O Lukhoi Singh said that under the BJP-led government there have been positive transformations in diverse sectors with Wangoi assembly constituency, which he represents, also joining the transformation process.
Among others, education commissioner M Harekrishna and director L Nandakumar Singh also attended the event.
The facilities developed in sync with upgrade of the Yumnam Huidrom School to a higher secondary level institute included a new building, library and science laboratory.
