Mathiupuang Gonmei to contest in Nungba AC

Imphal, December 15 2021:
A blessing cum declaration programme of Mathiupuang Gonmei, an intending BJP candidate from Nungba AC, in the forthcoming general election was held at Ramgailong village, Langol here on Wednesday with BJP Manipur Pradesh vice president N Nimbus as the chief guest.
The blessing prayer was led' by Reverend Akam Kamei while Nimbus handed over the party's flag along with BJP caps and stoles during the formal reception programme.
Speaking at the event, N Nimbus described Mathiupuang Gonmei as a true social worker who believes in the spirit of nationalism and Gandhi's philosophy, adding that Gonmei entered politics with a spirit of value based politics and self-sacrifice.
The BJP leader then said, "BJP is different from other political parties.
It is neither a Delhi-based party nor a dynasty party.
It works for the whole society cutting across religion, caste and region, because of which BJP won two seats in the parliament".
Nimbus also criticised the current MCA of Nungba for his failure to address grievances of the people.
He appealed to the gathering to vote for BJP in the forthcoming election and send a representative to the assembly who can work for the people with sincerity and dedication.
