People's Day organised in Ukhrul, Bishnupur districts

Ukhrul, September 16 2022: Ukhrul district administration organised it's 3rd edition of 'District Hill Leaders' Day and 'Meeyamgi Numit' under the state government's objective of making governance more citizen centric, proactive and programme implemen tation effective at DRDA Training Hall, Mini Secretariat, Ukhrul on Friday.

Agriculture, Veterinary, Medical, Social Welfare, CAF&PD, Handloom & Textiles, PHED and MSPDCL were some of the major line department among 28 departments present.

People from as many as 37 villages/localities attended the event out of which 81 applications were received.

78 of these applications were resolved on the spot.

At the programme, some of the grievances with regard to Medical Department were related to birth & death certificates and health cards.

CMO Ukhrul also facilitated Covid-19 vaccination and blood & sugar tests.

Social Welfare Department distributed four old age pension cards as the CAF&PD resolved three applications, D1C, Ukhrul handed over a handloom card and Revenue Department distributed 15 tribe and income certificates.

During the event, each applicant was initially received and heard by Ukhrul deputy commissioner Krishna Kumar, SP Ningshem Vashum, ADM Chunglenmang Kipgen and DFO Shanngam.

After consultation, applicants were later sent to the departmental heads concerned for resolution of the issues.

BISHNUPUR: District administration of Bishnupur organised the September edition of Meeyamgi Numit on Friday at Panchayat Resource Centre Hall, Mini Secretariat complex in Bishnupur.

Deputy Commissioner Lourembam Bikram interacted with the applicants in the presence of Addi tional SP, Divisional Forest Officer, SDOs/BDOs and District Level Officers.

Altogether, 177 grievances were heard under the coordination of ADM Bishnupur H Bobby Sharma and AC to DC Ejaj Hassan.

The complaints related to CMHT Card, Widow Pension, Old Age Pension, Handicapped Certificates and Ujjwala Yojana among others.

Chief Medical Office and District Social Welfare Office set up stalls to facilitate redressal of complaints on CMHT, PMJAY, Old Age Pension and Widow Pension Schemes.

As part of the event, ZEO Bishnupur also distributed two wheelchairs, one roller, five kit boxes, three bank passbooks and three disability certificates to several differently abled students.
