Medical camp held in flood affected area

Imphal, September 13 2015:
According to a report by the National Coalition of Humanitarian Agencies in India, over 1325 people of 380 households were affected by the recent flood in Kakching Municipality area.
Even after one died after the flood, the normal life has been affected and still five families are taking shelter at Kakching Chumnang relief camp and many flood affected families were found suffering from water bone disease.
A free medical camp was organized by EHA, Dynamic Manipur (DM) and Helping Helps Manipur with medicine support from Emmanuel Hospital Association (EHA), New Delhi at Ibudou Naohal Ahanba Laibung in Kakching.
213 patients were examined by the doctors.
Most of the people were suffering from skin diseases, respiratory infection and diarrhea.
In addition, medicines and water cleaning tablets were also provided free of cost to the patients.
The camp was coordinated by Sphere India.
The organizers are also planning to conduct series of medical camps in the next couple of weeks.
