Imphal, September 13 2015:
Demanding cancellation of the order dated September 7 issued by the Union Ministry of Home Affairs permitting entry of minorities from Pakistan and Bangladesh into India, two students' organizations of Manipur have strictly warned the State Government not to follow the order in the State.
During a press meet held at the office of Democratic Students' Alliance of Manipur (DESAM) at Keishampat on Sunday, DESAM President Moirangthem Angamba said that people of the State should stand together against this order which allows the minorities in Pakistan and Bangladesh, especially Hindus to enter India without IDs.
The order should be cancelled immediately, demanded Angamba and demanded that the Government should withdraw the order if it thinks the North Eastern States as part of the country.
Minorities from Pakistan and Bangladesh will not be allowed to enter Manipur and if they insist on it, DESAM and Apunba Ireipakki Maheiroi Singpanglup (AIMS) along with the people will take action against such policy, announced Angamba during the press meet which was also attended by AIMS President L Sanjoy.
The Government of India has already given permission to these minorities to enter Assam, a secret plot to wipe out the indigenous communities of the region, claimed Angamba who was also surprised over the Centre's policy against the Foreigners' Act 1946.According to the Foreigners' Act 1946, no foreigners are allowed to live inside the country without possessing identity cards.
DESAM and AIMS extended support to the bandh called by various organizations including Assam Jatiyatbadi Yuva Chhatra Parishad (AJYCP) and Assam Gana Parishad in Assam against the Government's policy.
He said a memorandum in this regard will be submitted to the Prime Minister and Manipur Chief Minister to stop the policy.
