12 hour bandh cripples Chandel

Chandel, September 13 2015:
The 12-hour bandh clamped by the Committee on Protection of Tribals Rights (CoPoTR), Chandel against the State Government's notification for re-election of Chandel ADC Chairman has crippled vehicular movement on NH-102 (Pallel-Chandel district Headquarters), reports our correspondent.
Bandh supporters blocked the road by burning tyres and piling woods at Lamkang Khunou, Liwachangning and other places.

Speaking to media persons, Wng Kohring Victor, chairman, CoPoTR, Chandel said that though the bandh has ended at 6 pm today, vehicular movement along Imphal-Moreh road will be blocked.
He also warned of resorting to intense form of agitation until the State Government withdraws the notification.
