Imphal, September 13 2015:
Parents and guardians of the students, who have been left out by CBSE from this year's Class X and XII examinations, have urged the Council of Higher Secondary Education Manipur to conduct a special Class XII examination of genuine students at the earliest.
Speaking at a press conference, a parent said that around 2500 students of Class X and XII were left out by CBSE as respective schools of these students did not submit registration documents on time.
Considering the loss of academic year of these students, Education Minister M Okendro promised to conduct special examinations for the genuine students by Board of Secondary Education Manipur (BOSEM) and Council of Higher Secondary Education Manipur (COHSEM), he said.
Following this assurance, the Education (S) Department asked the students to submit their documents on April 10, he said.
Later, the State Cabinet decided to conduct special examinations for genuine students.
Although, BOSEM has announced to conduct a special examination of Class X from September 21 to 29, COHSEM has not taken any such step so far, the parent said.
