BJP leader Prahlad Patel woos Senapati, announces coming of MUDRA bank

BJP MP and National Executive member who is also in-charge of Manipur BJP, Prahlad Singh Patel paid his maiden visit to Senapati district and announced the coming of MUDRA bank in Manipur by October, our correspondent reports.
Accompanied by State BJP leaders, District BJP leaders and dignitaries, the four times MP addressed a gathering at the Indoor Stadium, DHqs town attended by BJP ADC members, party workers and others.
Dignitaries included BJP leaders like Woba Joram, Jonathan Tao, Khai Leo, District President Lohrii, Youth and women BJP leaders, former MLA Henry Paotie, former MP candidate Loli Adanee and others.
The former Union Minister for Coal and Mining Prahlad Singh Patel opened his speech with greetings to the newly elected BJP ADC members.
Informing that, the ADC members met other Union Ministers and BJP central leaders including BJP supremo Amit Shah, Patel said the meeting with Union Rural Development Minister Jual Oram was fruitful as he personally verified facts and reports of the District.
Patel further spoke on MUDRA Bank which is targeted to help young entrepreneurs, youths and women to improve their livelihood by availing loans on low interest.
A meeting of all Bank Managers and financial institutions would be held at Imphal on Monday on this regard when Food Processing and MSME Union Minister Niranjan Joyti arrive in Imphal, Patel said.
MUDRA Bank (Micro Units Development and Refinance Agency Bank) is a public sector financial institution in India.
It provides loans at low rates to microfinance institutions and non-banking financial institutions which then provide credit to MSME's.It was launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on April 8, 2015 .
The BJP leader hit out at UPA days where Manipur miserably failed in many front.
Hinting on Chief Minister O Ibobi Singh's involvement in misusing of huge Loktak Lake development funds, Patel said he will raise the issue in the Parliament and necessary procedures will be initiated.
"We will root out corruption in Manipur which is rampant under the present Congress led State Government", he said.
