NEFIS cycle rally

Imphal, January 07 2018:
North-East Forum for International Solidarity (NEFIS) organised a cycle rally from Kangla gate to Manipur University, under the banner 'Common education and quality health for all' today.
The rally was flagged off by Dean of Student Welfare, MU, Professor Kh Tomba from Kangla gate.
It passed through Keishampat, Khagempalli and Singjamei before concluding at MU where a meeting was organised.
Speaking to media persons at the meeting, Professor Kh Tomba said that the cycle rally was organised to raise the issues of common education system and quality health facilities for all in the State.
NEFIS (All India) convenor Khumukcham Chinglen said that the present state of Government schools and colleges in Manipur are in deplorable conditions.
He also pointed out that the rally has been organised to raise awareness about the difficulties and hardships faced by the poor people of the State regarding education and health-care.
President of International Peace and Social Advancement (IPSA), Luwangcha Chingkhei and president of the All Manipur United Club Organisation (AMUCO) Ph Deban were also present at the event.
