National Track Cycling Rojit wins another gold after setting National record

Imphal, January 07 2018:
Cyclist Y Rojit bagged another gold for Manipur in the 70th Senior, 47th Junior and 33rd Sub-Junior National Track Cycling Championship which began on January 2 under the aegis of Cycling Federation of India at IG Velodrome.
Y Rojit and E Lanchenba of Manipur produced stunning rides yesterday to set National records respectively in the time trial and individual pursuit events.
Y Rojit created history by finishing 500m time trial event in just 32.722 sec and set a new National record.
L Ronald who is also from Manipur finished second to win silver by taking 33.451 sec in the same competition.
E Lanchenba took 2:21.865 in the junior boys' 2 km individual pursuit event to win the gold medal and also set the National record.
Y Rojit exhibited the same spirit today claiming junior men's sprint gold with a record time of 0:10.930 sec while L Ronald took 0:11.165 sec to win a bronze medal.
Y Birjit of Manipur won a silver medal in the 2 km individual pursuit event for youth boy's by taking 2: 37.948 sec.
N Bisheshwari who finished the 2 km individual pursuit event for youth girls in 2:58.807 sec claimed a bronze medal today.
Yesterday, Kh Diana and Kh Rahul secured two gold medals for Manipur in the 500 m sub-junior girls' and youth boys' time trial events.
L Ronald bagged the bronze medal in the 1000 m junior men's time trial competition by finishing the course in 1:08.369 .
Manipur have so far bagged 5 gold, 1 silver and 3 bronze medals in the championship.
