'Tusom shooting was the handiwork of armed groups': Tangkhul Civil Bodies

Imphal, December 02, 2014:
Three civilians found dead on November 30 at New Tusom village were suspected to be shot dead by armed militant groups, who were on journey to neighboring country Myanmar or towards Nagaland state.
The Jessami police retrieved the bodies with the assistance of villagers and brought for post mortem at Ukhrul.
The villagers blamed the armed militants for overpowering and snatching their rifles, and shooting them at closed range at point blank.
The area being dense forest at least 10 Km from the village, possibly a transit point for thorough fare to neighboring country Myanmar or Nagaland state, a safe haven for armed groups.
Blood stained was seen on the path for a few distance, indicating that they were possibly forced to walk.
The Deputy Commissioner, Ukhrul Modak Hrisheekesh personally visited and interacted with the victim families and village elders at Ukhrul police station.
The DC as immediate relief to the Victim families awarded Rs 50000, further he assured them all his possible assistance from his end.
The case has been registered at Jessami Police station, Ukhrul for necessary action.
Necessary investigations are underway with weapons being were seized at the police custody.
In the autopsy test, cartridges PB of SBBL rifle was found.
Raigam was shot at his Chest, Shimreiso on the temple while Chihanpam at Back neck with throat cuts.
The Tangkhul Civil Organization today conducted a condolence programme at 7:00am in TNL Hall, Ukhrul.
Khayao Shatsang village elder elaborated about the incident that their death was highly suspicious and it's the handiwork of armed organizations.
He added that villagers were in panic as they will organized special consultation meeting on this incidence inviting the neighboring area villages.
The TNL president P.Kazingmei condemned the incident in his strongest terms as a shameful act and shared the grief of the bereaved families on behalf of the Tangkhul Civil organization.
The TNL will work hard to establish and find out real murderer.
