UDTWA threatens stir

Ukhrul, April 09 2018:
The Ukhrul District Teachers' Welfare Association (UDTWA) has threatened to launch a democratic form of agitation in case the State Government fails to release the pending 6 months salary on or before April 17, stated president of UDWTA AW Wungnaoshang.
Addressing the media today at the office of Ukhrul District Working Journalists' Association (UDJWA) at Viewland, Ukhrul, Wungnaoshang stated that salary for ADC teachers is yet to be released from November 2017 till date.
According to the president of UDTWA, the State Government has instructed the ADCs to conduct audit in December in order to release salary.
However till date nothing has been done.
He further mentioned that text books for the academic session 2018 is yet to be received while the amount of Rs 400 given per student for purchase of sweater, skirt, shirt, trouser, sock and shoes is not sufficient at all.
He maintained that for mid-day meal, no fund has been sanctioned.
