AMSGO restricts entertainment programmes during exams

In view of the ensuing Class X, XI and XII examinations 2015 to be conducted by Board of Secondary Education Manipur (BSEM) and Council of Higher Secondary Education Manipur (COHSEM) from February 17, All Manipur Students Guardian Organization (AMSGO) has clamped imposition on organizing any kind of entertainment programme from January 15 till the end of the examinations.
Announcing the call during a press meet held at the office of the organization at Palace Compound on Monday, S Sumati, organizing secretary of AMSGO said that preparation for conducting the Class X, XI and XII examinations 2015 from February 17 has been made by the concerned authorities.
She elaborated that the Class X examination to be conducted by BSEM will be started from February 17 to March 17 while the Class XI and XII examinations to be conducted by COHSEM will also be started from February 17 to March 20 .
Observing that organizing entertainment programmes near the commencement of the examinations schedule would hamper studies of the students, she said that the decision to restrict organizing entertainment programmes from January 17 till the end of the examinations was taken in order to avoid causing disturbances to the appearing students.
She appealed to the authorities concerned to take up prompt measures to counter the problem of question leakage during the examinations.
The organizing secretary of AMSGO also appealed to the appearing students to abstain from using unfair means in the examinations.
