NIT flagged off

Imphal, January 12 2015:
Brig Jeetendra Ohri Commander, Senapati Brigade today flagged off a 12-day National Integration Tour (NIT) organised by Jwalamukhi Battalion under the aegis of Red Shield Division, a statement issued by the PRO (Defence), Imphal informed.
Speaking at the occasion, the Commander complemented the students for the keenness shown by them to participate in the National Integration Tour and conveyed that the tour was formulated with an intention to give the youth from the remote areas of Manipur an excellent opportunity to exchange rich heritage and culture of Manipur and the Nation during the visit.
The NIT team comprises of 15 students and three teachers from various schools of Senapati district.
The students during their 12 days tour will visit important places in Kolkata and Jamshedpur like Victoria Memorial, Birla Industrial and Technological Museum, Belur Math, St.
Paul's Cathedral, Fort Williams, Dimna Lake and JRD TATA Sports Academy, it added.
