Imphal, January 12 2015:
With the Congress Government wasting huge amounts of fund sanctioned by the Government of India for different welfare schemes, the State is going in reverse gear rather than taking any forward step, said BJP State unit president Th Chaoba.
As observed across the country, the National Youth Day was observed today at the Nityaipat Chuthek office of BJP in commemoration of the birth anniversary of Swami Vivekananda under the aegis of Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha, Manipur State unit.
In connection with the commemorative function, a blood donation camp was also organised at JNIMS.
Th Chaoba also unveiled a complaint box at the main gate of the party office where people can drop complaints and documents about graft practices committed by the incumbent Government.
He said that the complaint box was installed to check corruption and save Manipur.
Appealing to all the people to drop complaint letters in the complaint boxes, Chaoba said that all the complaints and grievances would be forwarded to Central Ministers who would be visiting the Northeastern States including Manipur every fortnight.
Maintaining that BJP would not forgive any act of corruption, Chaoba called upon all the people of Manipur to extend full cooperation to Central Ministers who would be visiting the State at the instruction of Prime Minister Narendra Modi to verify whether funds sanctioned by the Centre were utilized properly or not.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi's transparent and clean governance has won the faith of the country's youth.
Narendra Modi Government has also initiated several policies to wean away North East youth from intoxicating drugs, Chaoba claimed.
BJP State unit general secretary (administration) M Ashinikumar highlighted the tremendous role of youth in building a progressive nation.
