Fawn rescued

Imphal, January 12 2015:
A Kharsa fawn which ran out from Jawa Lamjao islet of Loktak lake was rescued and handed over to Keibul Lamjao National Park authority.
The fawn ran out as the islet was set on fire.
It was rescued by one Thokchom Jayenta of Ngai-khong Khullen from the eastern side of Wangoi yesterday.
The fawn was first handed over to the Global Science Club, Khoijuman which in turn handed the young deer to Keibul Lamjao National Park authority today.
Meanwhile, Keibul Lamjao National Park authority has appealed to all the people not to set afire phumdis of Keibul Lamjao National Park in the interest of Kharsas living there.
