MP Sharda meets Union Minister

Imphal, July 29 2026: Rajya Sabha MP A Sharda Devi, met the Union Minister for Women and Child Development Annapurna Devi, at Parliament House today and discussed various important issues concerning the development of Manipur, with particular emphasis on the welfare and rehabilitation of Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) .

During the meeting, Sharda Devi requested the Union Minister to facilitate the approval of various proposals and demands submitted by the Government of Manipur, keeping in view the prevailing socio-political situation in the State.

She stressed the need for timely intervention and enhanced support to address the challenges faced by the affected communities.

The Union Minister assured that the Ministry of Women and Child Development would extend all possible assistance and support to the people of Manipur and would give due consideration to the issues and requests placed before her.
