PLA celebrates 36th Birthday

The 36th raising day of the People's Liberation Army (PLA), the armed wing of the proscribed Revolutionary People's Front (RPF), was celebrated today at its general headquarters, tactical command, strategic command, central bureau, battalions, stations and other units.
According to a statement issued by Secretary Publicity of RPF Roben Khuman, President of RPF Irengbam Chaoren delivered message to the people of Manipur on the occasion of PLA's 36th raising day.
In his speech, President Chaoren said that humans have been able to build nations owing to the existence of their unique identities.
It is the responsibility of every ethnic group to protect their own identities.
However, protection of small ethnic groups is not an easy task in today's era of globalization.
The first and foremost goal of democracy is to establish an egalitarian society.
The RPF Chief also wished the people of Manipur for prosperity and harmony among the indigenous people of the region, the statement said.
