'No Confusion on Election Symbol': MPTCC spokesperson

Saying that the people of the state should not be swayed by baseless information, Manipur Pradesh Trinamool Congress Committee (MPTCC) spokesperson P.Premananda appeals to the people to support the party candidate Dr..YRadheshyam in the ensuing Hiyanglam By election scheduled for October 17 .
"The Manipur Pradesh Trinamool Congress Committee (MPTCC) is the Manipur State unit of All India Trinamool Congress (AITC).
There should be no confusion regarding the symbol of the party which is represented by a flower and grass", told MPTCC spokesperson, P.Premananda while interacting with media persons at the party's office located at Moirangkhom, Imphal today.
Premananda then said that MLAs of Manipur Pradesh Trinamool Congress (MPTC) had already tendered their formal apology to the AITC general secretary, MP, Mukul Roy on July 7, 2014 admitting their faults of committing 'anti-party activities' and requested the concerned to revoke their suspension order and also vowed to support the president, Trinamool Congress State unit president, Th.Shyamkumar in all the future endeavours.
Photostat copies of the apology letter submitted to the general secretary, AITC was also handed over to the media persons present at the press meet today.
He further stated that the MPTCC is hesitant to reveal the matter as a tribunal case is underway against four MPTC party MLAs including Khumukcham Joykishan, O.Lukhoi, Th.Bishorjit and K.Sarat for alleged anti-party activities.
Premananda further told that with the announcement of Dr..YRadheshyam as the MPTCC candidate for the ensuing Hiyanglam by-election, rigorous campaigns have started.
As such, he appeals to the people not to believe baseless information and claimed that they are only started to tarnish the image of the party.
He further told that such rumours are triggered to disturb the ongoing campaigns for the upcoming election.
The party has come to clarify the matter now as it felt a need to clear the confusion among the people regarding the genuine face of the MPTCC as the Hiyanglam by-election is drawing near, added Premananda.
