Imphal, December 17 2009:
Employees of the Imphal Urban Co-operative Bank today threatened to launch agitations if the impasse between the share holders of the bank and administrators be ended and form the Board of Director of the bank.
President of the Imphal Co-operative Bank Employees Association, L Surendro speaking at a press conference, official works at the bank which is among the forerunner co-operative banks in the north-eastern region affected when Board of Directors and administrators indulged in activities which hurt the rights of the employees.
The bank was no Board of Directors and additional director of the co-operation government V Thangzasiam is looking after the working of the bank.
He had been ordered to look after the administration of the bank till the election to the Board of Directors held.
But even after the expiry of his term, Thangzasiam is continued to look after the administration and no notification for holding election issue till date.
Holding up elections for three year is not a right decision and its amount to hurt rights of the shareholders of the bank.
