Concerned over the prolonged class boycott agitation by three student bodies over the July 23 Khwairamband Bazar incident which is likely to affect the academic career of the students in the State, Governor Gurbachan Jagat today convened a meeting with Chief Minister O Ibobi Singh to discuss the issue.
During the hour-long meeting from 3 pm to 4 pm, the two heads of the State administration discussed the issue related to the class boycott agitation in detailed, according to information received by the press.
It may be noted here that the Governor had earlier sought a report from the School Education Department in connection with the ongoing class boycott agitation of the All Manipur Students' Union, Manipuri Students' Federation and Kangleipak Students' Association.
